Ok so here’s how a conversation about feminism went on in the car with my dad and brother.

Me : I don’t like KSI, he’s degrading towards women

Brother : No he isn’t, he’s funny

Me : Ok, if you think saying stuff like “yeah i’d bang her anyday” is funny and not at all degrading then suree

Dad : That doesn’t make him degrading, what do you think men talk about in pubs when they see girls 

*I WANTED TO SCREAM AT THIS POINT*

Me : That shows they don’t have any respect for girls and clearly shows all you see us as is a sexual object

Brother : Oh god, she’s turning into a feminist

Me : No, I am a feminist

Brother : Don’t be you’ll lose a lot of friends

WTF IS HE ON?!!!

Me : Most, if not all of my friends are feminists, including the boys

Brother : Are they gay then?

I WANTED TO SLAP HIM

Me : Why the hell would that make them gay, you don’t just have to be a girl to be a feminist

*HE LAUGHS AT ME LIKE I JUST SAID SOMETHING DUMB*

Brother : Obviously you do, they’re just a bunch of man haters

Me : No, its believing in equal rights between the genders

Dad : Nope, its for tree hugging hippies

Me : Oh so I am? Angelina Jolie is? Beyonce is? Taylor Swift is?

they went quiet for a bit and it just was like talking to a brick wall
